What is the Product of ACiiST?

ACiiST provides the Polarity-II network units and the MetropoLAN distributed switch and network architecture. The MetropoLAN is a distributed serverless SDN management system with inherent redundancy, load balancing, auto-commissioning and full management of a virtually distributes Layer-2 Network switch

The MetropoLAN solution is ideal for connecting today’s cameras, Thermal sensors, WiFi, smart light or any other sensors and is ready for the Smart IOT devices of the future. The “distributed switching and network management” technology, allows our customers to leverage their existing urban infrastructure to deploy easily and rapidly a powerful smart city IOT connectivity.

Value Proposition

ACiiST converts the existing streetlight system into an Urban IOT infrastructure enabling simple installation of Cameras, WiFi, Sensors, and other IoT devices with secure high-performing networks everywhere without the disruption and costs typical to alternatives. In essence, ACiiST’s solution is to convert aging electric infrastructure into a state-of-the-art IoT network, optimizing the use of existing assets and saving valuable time, funds, and disruption.

ACiiST provides a network solution (MetropoLAN) for incorporating all the black communication links with a high degree of reliability. This is achieved in the products definition via multi ring redundancy and the removal of the dependency on a central network controller. Note methodologies for the routing and network strategy can enhance or negate this increased reliability. ACiiST will work to ensure that the methods used do not impact on the reliability.

ACiiST technology requires an average of 10% cabling compared to any traditional technology and provides a higher level of redundancy and reliability. This dramatically reduces the costs of network deployment and network maintenance. The system is designed with symmetrically distributed architecture in order to eliminate any single-point-of-failure components and create an always ON network. As redundancy is an inherent feature of the network, broken cable events do not cause a service outage; the event is reported to the network manager and can be fixed at a time that does not impact service.

ACiiST’s infrastructure is a shrewd long-term investment, as its network can be used to improve signaling, real-time data collection and information, congestion monitoring, and much more. The platform is both centerpiece of the response to the pandemic, and a cornerstone of the post-pandemic world.
